Task & Timeline β€” Level 1 Phases / Level 2 Tasks

Default view is lean β€” Task, Start, End, Duration, Resource, % Complete, Status. Check Show all columns above for Timeline, Budget, Predecessors, Successors, Float and Notes. Task/ID columns stay pinned on the left while you scroll horizontally.
This is the schedule input tab. The WBS you build here β€” phases, tasks, dates, resources, and logic links β€” drives everything else: the Gantt chart, critical path, cost roll-ups, cash flow, status dashboard, and the downloadable reports. Start by adding phases and tasks before filling in the other tabs.
Set dates two ways: edit Start and End directly, or edit Start and Dur (d) — Duration is now an input; changing it recalculates the End date (Start + Duration). Editing End directly still works too and Duration updates to match. Duration is now in working days — it skips weekends (per the Working Calendar setting) and any dates listed in Holidays, both on the Resources & Cost tab. Weekends/holidays are excluded from the day count and from Start+Duration→Finish, and the critical path engine uses the same working-day durations, so float and criticality reflect actual working time, not raw calendar spans.
Use the pick lists in Predecessors / Successors to link tasks β€” choose the linked task, logic type (FS/SS/FF/SF) and lag/lead in calendar days, then click +. Adding a link from either end keeps both sides in sync. Float is a manually-entered cell (defaults to 0) β€” the muted number next to it is the tool's own CPM-calculated float (in working days) for reference. Critical-path tasks (per the CPM engine) are flagged "CP" automatically. The Timeline column shows a live mini Gantt bar that updates as you edit dates and % complete.
Budget is resource-loaded automatically: labor = each staffing row's Daily Rate Γ— Allocation % Γ— days its Start/End overlaps this task, plus materials/services whose Linked Task points here. Hover a Budget cell for the full breakdown. This weights the cost forecast's Earned Value by each task's actual resource load instead of a flat average β€” a task with heavy staffing/materials now counts more toward % complete claimed than a light one.

Deliverables List

This is the cost input tab. Staffing rates, materials/equipment costs, and budget lines you enter here drive the resource-loaded Task Budgets on Task & Timeline, the Earned Value/CPI/EAC forecast, and the Status Dashboard's S-curve. Start with Staffing and Materials before entering Cost Structure and Change Orders below.

Staffing Plan

Load Type: Full-Time locks Allocation at 100%; Part-Time (FTE) lets you set the FTE fraction as an Allocation % (e.g. 50% = 0.5 FTE) for this resource's Start–End duration. Effort Hours = working days in range (per the Working Calendar setting above) Γ— Hours/Day Γ— Allocation %. Daily Rate Γ— Allocation % Γ— overlapping working days also feeds each task's resource-loaded Budget (with hours) on the Task & Timeline tab β€” a resource is counted on any task whose dates overlap this row's Start/End. Daily Rate defaults to 650 (in your project currency) if left blank. Currency, Working Calendar, and Hours/Day are set once at the top of the page and apply project-wide β€” Hours/Day is fully user-defined (not fixed at 8); set it to whatever your actual working day is, e.g. 8, 9, or 10 hours, including half-hour increments.

Holidays

Specific dates listed here are excluded as working days β€” on top of the Working Calendar's day-of-week pattern β€” when calculating Staffing Effort Hours, Task Budget labor cost, and resource-loaded Earned Value. This does not shift task dates, durations, or the critical path; the Gantt/CPM engine still treats every calendar day as available.

Costs entered here roll up into the KPIs above. Click Sync to Cost Structure to push the total into a dedicated budget line in the Project Cost Structure section below. Effort Hours is pulled live from the Staffing Plan section above (each resource's duration Γ— Standard Hrs/Day Γ— Allocation %) β€” edit rates, allocation, and load type there.

Project Baseline β€” Schedule, Cost, Cash Flow & Materials

A baseline is a frozen snapshot of the current schedule, budget, payment milestones, and materials/resources totals β€” captured on a date you choose. Every capture is logged as a new revision (Rev 1, Rev 2…) so you always know what was baselined, when, and what changed since.
